TRAFFIC IMPACTS:  May 26 to May 31, 2015

Work will be suspended from Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.  Lane closures will resume on the night of Tuesday, May 26. 

A new traffic pattern is in place north of the Golden Glades Interchange, where a second northbound express lane has been created.  Drivers are advised to plan ahead, stay in your lane and do not cross the double white lines or drive through the plastic poles. 

Workers are installing plastic poles along northbound I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange to the Broward County Line about one-half mile south of Hallandale Beach Boulevard.  Plastic poles installation will resume on Tuesday night, May 26 and the express lane entrance and exit locations will change daily until all the poles are installed in this area.  During pole installation, upto three lanes will be closed on northbound I-95 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., including the northbound express lanes.  Drivers who use 95 Express should be aware of the following changes along northbound I-95:

  • As of 5 a.m., Tuesday, May 19 the northbound express lane exit located north of the Golden Glades Flyover was closed and the exit point was moved to its new permanent location south of Ives Dairy Road.
  • Drivers in the express lanes who want to exit northbound I-95 at Miami Gardens Drive should exit the express lanes south of the Golden Glades Interchange at NW 151 Street.
  • The first northbound exit point from the Golden Glades Flyover will be Ives Dairy Road.

Add'l Lane Closures May 26 - May 31:

Up to three northbound lanes on I-95, from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County, will be closed Tuesday night through Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday night until noon Saturday.  At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone.  Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

Up to three northbound and southbound lanes on I-95, from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County, will be closed Tuesday night through Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday night until noon Saturday.  At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone.  Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance.

The entrance to the southbound express lanes, located just south of Miami Gardens Drive, will be closed Tuesday night through Thursday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving.  Drivers going south on I-95 who want to use the express lanes should enter the lanes south of the Golden Glades Interchange or stay in the general purpose lanes.

The inside northbound express lane will be closed at the Golden Glades Flyover Tuesday night through Thursday night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for roadwork. Access to the Golden Glades Park and Ride lot from the northbound express lanes will also be closed.  Drivers in the express lanes will exit just south of the flyover.  Drivers going north on I-95 who want to access the Golden Glades Park and Ride lot should use the general purpose lanes, exit at NW 151 Street and follow the signs to the lot.

Up to two eastbound or westbound lanes will be closed as needed on Pembroke Road at I-95 Tuesday night through Thursday night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge work.  At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
