Please note that phases 1A and 1B may overlap and this schedule is tentative subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.

95 Express will be constructed in phases.

 Phase 1A includes work along northbound I-95 between SR 112 / I-195 and the Golden Glades Interchange. This phase began on February 19, 2008, with Express Lanes expected to open in summer 2008.

During construction, there will be five northbound travel lanes open Monday through Friday. Lane closures will occur during non-peak nighttime hours (9 p.m. until 5 a.m.), Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday and again from 11 p.m. Saturday until 2 p.m. Sunday on non-event nights and weekends.

Phase 1B includes significant modifications to the on and off ramps between I-95 and SR 112 as well as all necessary work along the southbound lanes of the interstate. This work is expected to begin by fall 2008. Southbound toll lanes are expected to be completed by late 2009 and the entire project will be completed by spring 2010.

Phase 2 includes the portion of I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County. This phase is tentatively scheduled to open in 2010.

Phase 1A began in February, 2008

Phase 1B is scheduled to begin in late summer or early fall 2008.  The schedule for the start of Phase 2 has not been determined at this time.

The contractor is re-striping the northbound lanes between SR 112 / I-195 and the Golden Glades Interchange. Other work currently underway includes sign removal and relocation; shoulder modification; widening and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) enhancements.
